How Do We Keep From Being Ashamed Of The Bible—Especially When Facing Persecution?

Paul encourages Timothy to avoid shame about the gospel by relying on God's power and purpose rather than human strength, remembering God's grace given before time began. Believers must use the spiritual gifts God has provided and guard the good deposit of faith entrusted to them through the Holy Spirit. The antidote to shame is knowing the One in whom we believe and being convinced of His ability to guard what we have entrusted to Him.
