About Us
We are Christ the King Evangelical Lutheran Church
We are known for reaching out to hurting people and bringing the soothing balm of the Gospel.
At Christ the King Evangelical Lutheran Church, we believe in the power of God's Word to transform lives. We are a proud member of the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod (WELS), a theologically conservative church body committed to the Gospel and the truth of Scripture. While WELS is well-known in some parts of the country, we understand it may not be familiar to everyone in Wyoming. Simply put, being WELS means we stand firmly on God's Word, teaching grace, faith, and Scripture without compromise.

Our Core Values
What you will find at Christ the King
The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom. All who do His precepts have good understanding.
Psalm 111:10 (EHV)
Core Value #1
Proclaiming Christ for UsScripture: Romans 1:14-17
A grace-centered and gospel-focused approach emphasizes honesty about the law and gospel, fostering humility and unity among believers. The Bible tells us that the gospel is simple and accessible to all, underscoring the obligation to share it as the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, regardless of background.
Core Value #2
Growing in God's WordScripture: 2 Timothy 3:16-17
Regular application of God's Word in daily life is essential, as the Bible states that Scripture is always relevant and accessible. Engaging with the Bible for teaching, correction, and training in righteousness equips individuals for good works, highlighting the transformative power of God's Word in shaping lives and guiding actions.
Core Value #3
Living for Christ and One AnotherScripture: 2 Corinthians 5:14-15
Embodying God's compassion and support within the church community promotes a familial bond among members, encouraging non-judgmental relationships. The Bible teaches that we are called to live for Christ and for one another, reflecting the love and sacrifice of Jesus, which fosters a nurturing and supportive environment for all.
Core Value #4
Developing Our God-Given Gifts for ServiceScripture: Romans 12:3-11
Recognizing the diversity of gifts among believers emphasizes that each person has unique abilities given by God to express His love. The Bible encourages humility and sound judgment in acknowledging these gifts, promoting active service in various forms, from teaching to showing mercy, within the body of Christ for the common good.
Core Value #5
Bringing the Gospel to OthersScripture: Romans 10:8-17
The importance of friendship evangelism makes the gospel relatable and non-judgmental. The Bible emphasizes the necessity of sharing the message of faith, illustrating that belief and confession in Jesus lead to salvation. This highlights the vital role of believers in proclaiming the good news to others in their lives and communities.
